LOST LYRICS to FAMOUS TV THEMES


TV THEME LYRICS LOST IN TIME

I was posting my Scarlett O'Hara Martini for St. Patrick's Day when I stumbled on the fact that the title song for Gone With The Wind - Tara's Theme, had lyrics, something that I was unaware of until today.  This is not the first time I've discovered some lost lyrics for some themes and tunes we're all familiar with.

For your entertainment and enjoyment, below are a few other famous instrumental TV themes that actually have lyrics:

  1. My aunt once said she heard the lyrics to the "Bonanza" song in some movie And someone somewhere once claimed he found the lyrics to the theme song from "Sanford and Son." I would love to find that one out!

  2. Jamie - The theme from Sanford and Son is actually a song called "The Streetbeater", which was an instrumental composed by Quincy Jones in 1973, there are no authentic lyrics for the Sanford & Son theme.
