E.T. PLAYS ATARI in a Santa Suit! Retro Commercials Monday

Wow, talk about retro Christmas commercials - E.T. in a commercial for the E.T. Atari game. You'd have to go back to Pong to get more nostalgic than this! Oh, my Heartlight is just a-glowin' with memories!

  8. Just Me - Okay, Ms. Casey, you gotta go out and get a Wii!!!! This game rocks - seriously, you can play "rock star" with it - among other fun games.

And the best part? You get up off a chair and move!

  9. If only ET was wearing leg-warmers...

Do you think he's playing the game thinking "wow, how old-school are these humans?"

  10. John - thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I have always believed ET thought we were all pretty backwards - none of us have a heartlight and our fingertips don't glow in the dark either - plus I don't know too many people who could turn a Speak and Spell into a intergalactic phone booth like ET did - it was a Speak and Spell, I think or at least some other kids toy like it.

  11. At first, I didn't think I remembered this. When I saw E.T. in the santa suit, it vaguely rings a bell. It's funny, because a friend was talking about this game when I was at a Xmas party the other night.

  12. Malcolm - I remember when Pong and Atari came out, we thought they were the best thing since sliced bread! Man, the micro chip has changed the face of the world. And I worked at Intel when they were developing the tech that started the revolution - I just wish I'd stayed long enough to get stock options and wait for the first split!!!
