OLD SCHOOL FRIDAYS - Baby Making?? What? No Way!

This weeks Old School Friday theme is "Baby Making" - I kid you not! Oh No, Girl! I ain't going down that road! I never encourage baby making because I think there are too many babies being born unwanted.

So I shall post a romantic song instead from my youth - which might have resulted in a baby if my Mama had not drummed some morals and the fear of God into me the minute I hit puberty!!!

This Guy's In Love With You
by the Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass. My boyfriend, Randy, gave me this album on prom night - this was "our song"

  1. Hey Pop Art Diva, "Baby making music" is just slang for romantic music. It does not literally mean we are going to make babies while listening to this music :-) I love your selection this week. Who is not a fan of Herb Alpert?

  2. How sweet, Great choice! Have a great weekend!

  3. Pjazzy - I think I'll stick to using "romantic", lol.

    Regina - thanks!

  4. What a great idea! Now I just have to find time to post all my great choices for old school... Mostly Beatle songs.

  5. Now, I remember the song being sung by Dionne Warwick first. I still have her greatest hits. The baby making music I remember were from the Stylistics and The Delphonics. "Didn't I Blow Your Mind this Time", was a classic---along with "Stoned in Love with You" and "You are Everything."

Mind you---I didn't have any babies back then but we still groove to those slow jams today. That gives me an idea for baby boomer jams week. Thanks!

  6. I agree...........babymaking days are long past, but you can still have fun in the process!
